RESOLUTION NO. 172 - 1975
At a(regular) (special) meeting of the City Council of the City of
Fridley duly held on the 18th DAY OF August 1975
the following Resolution was offered by Tim Breider ,
Councilman; seconded by Carroll Kukowski Councilwoman; to -wit:
WHEREAS, the Commissioner of Highways has prepared preliminary plans
for the improvement of a part of Trunk Highway Number 156
renumbered as Trunk Highway No. 47 within the corporate limits of
the City of Fridley from Mississippi Street to Osborne Road; and
WHEREAS, said preliminary plans are on file in the office of the

Department of Highways, Saint Paul, Minnesota, being marked, labeled, and
identified as Layout No. 3 S.P. 0205 -44 (47 -156) from Mississippi
Street to Osborne Road.
and
WHEREAS copies of said preliminary plans as so marked, labeled and
identified are also on file in the office of the City Clerk; and
WHEREAS, the term "said preliminary plans" as hereinafter used in
the body of this resolution shall be deemed and intended to mean, refer
to, and to incorporate the preliminary plans as in the foregoing recitals
particularly identified and described;
NOW, THEN, BE IT RESOLVED that said preliminary plans for the improvement
of Trunk Highway Number 156 renumbered Trunk Highway Number 47
within the limits of the City of Fridley be and hereby are approved, contingent
upon the stipulations noted in Attachment A.
Upon the call of the roll the following Council Members voted in
favor of the Resolution: T. Breider, C. Kukowski, W. Starwalt, W. Nee and
E. Fitzpatrick. '
The following Council Members voted against its adoption:
NONE
whereupon the Mayor and presiding officer declared the Resolution adopted.

ATTACHMENT "A"
At their regular meeting of August 18, 1975, the City Council
of the City of Fridley, passed Resolution 172 -1975, approving
the preliminary plans of the Department of Highways, St. Paul,
Minnesota, for Layout No. 3, S. P. 0205 -44 (47 =156) from
Mississippi Street to Osborne Road contingent upon the following
stipulations, as pertains to Osborne Road:
1 1. The southwest corner of the west frontage road shall be
changed to a 40' radius.
2. The southeast corner of the west frontage road shall be
changed to a 30' radius.
3. The east end of the median on the east side of TH 47 shall
be cut back to allow proper turning radius into Standard
Oil.
4. The proposed section along Osborne shall be extended west
to the intersection of Osborne Road and Commerce Lane.
5. The addition of a sidewalk on the south side of Osborne
between 5th Street and TH 47 shall be included.
