A RESOLUTION DECLARING NOVEMBER 23, 1975 AS YMCA
SWIM MARATHON DAY IN FRIDLEY
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Minneapolis YMCA's are conducting a
Swim Marathon on the 23rd of November to benefit Y programs for youth; and
' WHEREAS, the Eastside YMCA is conducting a swim marathon on the 23rd
of November to benefit the Y Fatherless Boys Program; a program that
directly serves boys who do not have a positive male image in the home;
and

WHEREAS, the Eastside YMCA funds the Fatherless Boys Program with
civic donations only; and
WHEREAS, the service area of the Eastside Y includes Fridley, Anoka,
Blaine, Columbia Heights, St. Anthony Village, Spring Lake Park, and
NE and SE Minneapolis;
THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED that the City of Fridley does hereby
declare Sunday, November 23, 1975 as YMCA Swim Marathon Day in Fridley;
and encourages its citizens to become involved in this project.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FRIDLEY THIS 17TH
DAY OF NOVEMBER, 1975.
