RESOLUTION NO. 104 -1976
A RESOLUTION SETTING AN ELECTION FOR COUNCIL MEMBER - WARD II
WHEREAS, there will be a General Election in the City of Fridley on November
2, 1976, and
WHEREAS, there is a requirement to hold an Election for the office of Council
Member in Ward II for a three year term,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that pursuant to the Charter of the City
of Fridley (Chepter 4, Section 4.03 as amended), the Council hereby provides for
and calls the General Election of the City of Fridley to be held in the City of
Fridley on Tuesday, the 2nd day of November, 1976, at which election, electors of
the City shall vote and cast a ballot with respect to the office of Council Member
in Ward II, and therefater the candidate receiving the highest number of votes for
the office at such election shall be deemed the elected official for said office, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that in addition to the City's General Election, to
be held in Ward II, there will also be a state -wide election; and
That the City Clerk shall give at least fifteen (15) days notice of the
time and place of holding such election, the names of the candidates who have
filed, and of the offices to be elected, by posting a notice thereof in at least
one public place in each voting precinct, and by publishing a notice thereof at
least once, prior to said General Election, in the official newspaper of the City.
The polling places for said General Election shall be as follows:
