RESOLUTION NO. 65 -1976
A RESOLUTION APPROVING A COST PARTICIPATION AGREEMENT #,58273
BETWEEN THE CITY OF FRIDLEY AND THE STATE OF MINNESOTA FOR
RELOCATION AND ADJUSTMENT OF CITY UTILITIES AT THE INTERSECTION
OF T.H. #65, C.S.A.H. 35 (CENTRAL AVE.) AND M.S.A.S. 321
(HATHAWAY LANE): STREET IMPROVEMENT PROJECT ST. 1975 -5
WHEREAS, the State has prepared plans and specifications and proposes
to let a contract on July 30, 1976 for the construction of a project on the
route of Trunk Highway 65, said project being identified in the records of the
State as S.P. 0207 -35 and S.A.P. 127- 321 -01A, and being located at C.S.A.H.
35 in Fridley; and
WHEREAS, certain utility facilities owned and operated by the City
are presently located within the limits of said construction project and
within the limits of a highway right of way on Trunk Highway 65; and
WHEREAS, the State has determined that relocation of the utility
facilities is necessitated by the construction of the project hereinabove
described; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that including said utility relocation
work in the State's construction contract would eliminate possible duplication
of services and would facilitate coordination of activities.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of
Fridley that the Agreement setting forth such terms and conditions for the
improvement of this roadway is found to be in the best interest of the City
of Fridley and the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby ordered and directed to
execute said agreement in the name of the City of Fridley.
