THE PIINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE FRIDLEY CITY COUNCIL DF �ANUARY 24, 1977

Special Pleeting, and they d�d.
The Snecial f1eeting of the Fridley City Counctl of January 2n, 1977 was called to
order at 10 30 p m. by P1a�/or Nee.

The City P1anager explained the v�age settlement with I_ocal aq as negotiated by the
MAMA negotiating committee The package called for �0�! ner hour across-the-board
increase for 1977 and �0¢ per hour for 1978. The 1977 increase will go into effect
when the str�krne employees are called back to work. The oackage calls for the City
to pay $60 Rer month toward health and life insurance for the ,year 1977 and $60 per
month for the year 197£3. The new rate goes into effect or February l, 1977.
MOTION 6y Councilwoman Kukowski to concur with the recomr�endation that the City
Manager accept thenegotiated settlement. Seconded by Councilman Schneider. Upon a
voice vote, all vottng aye, P1ayor Nee declared the r�otion carried unantmously.
There was a lengthy discusston on the lonqevity portion of the contract. The coi�census
of the Council was that the 1ongevity section of the contract should remain as is for
the years 1�77 and 1975

Upon a voice vote, all voting aye, Playor Nee declared the motion carried unanir�ously
and the Special Meeting of the Fridley Citv Council of Januarv 2n, 1977 adJourned
at 1 3n a m.
