RES 1977-32 - 00007099I RESOLUTION NO. 32 -1977 A RESOLUTION TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR SANITARY SEWER VACUUM PUMP BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Fridley, as follows: 1. That it is in the interest of the City to award bid contracts for the following items or materials. SANITARY SEWER VACUUM PUMP 2. A copy of the specifications for the above described items and materials, together with a proposal for the method of purchase and the payment thereof have been presented to the Council by the City Manager and the same are hereby approved and adopted as the plans and specifications, and the method of acquisition and payment to be required by the City with respect to the acquisition of said items and materials. 3. The purchase of said items and materials as described above shall be effected by sealed bids to be received and opened by the City of Fridley on the 4th day of April, 1977. The City Manager is directed and authorized to advertise for the purchase of said items and materials by sealed bid proposals under notice as provided by law and the Charter of the City of Fridley, the notice to be substantially in form as that shown by Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part of by reference. CITY OF FRIDLEY BID NOTICE for SANITARY SEWER VACUUM PUMP EXHIBIT "A" The City Council of the City of Fridley, Minnesota will accept sealed bids on Sanitary Sewer Vacuum Pump on the 4th day of April, 1977 until 11:30 A.M. on said date at the Fridley City Hall, 6431 University Avenue Northeast, Fridley, Minnesota 55432 (telephone: 571 - 3450). All bids must meet the minimum requirements of the specifications. Failure to comply with this section can result in disqualification of the bid. Each bid shall be accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashier's Check, Cash or Bid Bond and made payable without conditions to the City of Fridley, Minnesota, in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the bid, which check, cash or bond shall be forfeited if bidder neglects or refuses to enter into contract, after his bid has been accepted. The City reserves the right to accept the bid which is determined to be in the best interests of the City. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids and waive any informalities or technicalities in any bid received without explanation. The City Council also reserves the right to consider such factors as time of delivery or performance, experience, responsibility of the bidder, rust performance of similar types of items or materials, availability of products and other similar factors that it may determine to be in the best interest of the City. Copies of the specifications and general conditions may be examined in the office of the Purchasing Agent, or copies may be obtained from his office.
