RESOLUTION NO. 74 - 1977
A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE RELEASE TO THE CITY OF FRIDLEY OF THE
$150,000 GRANT TO DEVELOP THE ISLANDS OF PEACE
WHEREAS, the legislation of the State of Minnesota has appropriated
$150,000 from the General Fund of the State for the purpose of developing
recreation facilities on property known as the Islands of Peace lying within
the City of Fridley, and
WHEREAS, said funds are being held by the State of Minnesota pending
receipt by the State of Certain information including an outline of how the
funds will be spent, plans for the building, and a site plan, and
WHEREAS, the Islands of Peace Foundation will be submitting the above
mentioned documentation to the State of Minnesota,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Fridley
that the State of Minnesota is hereby requested to transfer to the City of
Fridley, funds in the amount of $150,000 for the Islands of Peace project.
