A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE ANOKA COUNTY COMMISSIONERS TO
INSTALL A TRAFFIC CONTROL SIGNAL AT THE INTERSECTION OF EAST
RIVER ROAD AND 51ST AVENUE NE
WHEREAS, the City of Fridley is very concerned with the
dangerous traffic situation which exists at the intersection of East
River Road and 51st Avenue NE; and
WHEREAS, there is a considerable amount of traffic generated
at times due to Northern Ordinance employees entering and exiting
at this intersection; and
WHEREAS, East River Road is a dangerous stretch of roadway,
with a history of numerous and serious accidents.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the
City of Fridley requests the Anoka County Commissioners to approve
installation of a traffic control signal at the intersection of East
River Road and 51st Avenue NE.
ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FRIDLEY THIS 19TH DAY OF
JUNE, 1978.
