RESOLUTION NO. 59 -1978
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A TAX LEVY LIMIT BASE INCREASE
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Fridley did on this 17th
day of July, 1978, hold a public hearing pursuant to M.S. 275.52,
Subd. 5, for the purpose of receiving public comment on whether or
not the Fridley City Council should adopt a Resolution providing
for a permanent increase in Fridley's Tax Levy Limit Base in an amount
not to exceed $294,889, and
WHEREAS, this Council recognizes that permanently increasing
the Tax Levy Limit Base by said amount does not obligate the City
Council to use any or all of said amount as part of the 1978 or
future years' Tax Levy Resolutions,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Fridley as follows:
1. That a permanent increase of ten (10) per cent or the
amount of $294,889 to the Tax Levy Limit Base is hereby
approved.
2. That pursuant to M.S. 275.52, Subd. 5, this Resolution
shall be published in the City's official newspaper on
the 19th day of July, 1978.
ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FRIDLEY THIS 17TH DAY
OF JULY, 1978.
