A RESOLUTION APPROVING A COST SHARING AGREEMENT BETWEEN
THE CITY OF FRIDLEY AND ANOKA COUNTY FOR IMPROVEMENTS AT
THE INTERSECTIONS OF T.H. 47 AT C.S.A.H. 6 (MISSISSIPPI
ST.) and C.S.A.H. 8 (OSBORNE RD.): STREET IMPROVEMENT
PROJECT ST. 1975 -4
WHEREAS, the City of Fridley has entered into a three -way agree-
ment #59091 with the Minnesota Department of Transportation and Anoka
County for the revision of existing traffic control signals with street
lights and signing on T.H. 47 at Mississippi Street and Osborne Road;
and
WHEREAS, the County of Anoka has entered into an agreement #59074
with the Minnesota Department of Transportation for the construction of
turn lanes, channelizations and storm sewer facilities and other improve-
ments along the east and west approaches of Mississippi Street and Osborne
Road to T.H. 47:
WHEREAS, the improvements included in the above agreement #59074 are
equally beneficial to the City, and for this reason the City will enter
into a financial arrangement with the County to help defray improvement
costs.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of
Fridley that the Agreement setting forth such terms and conditions for
the improvement of this roadway is found to be in the best interest of
the City of Fridley and the Mayor and City Manager are hereby ordered and
directed to execute said agreement in the name of the City of Fridley.
