RES 1979-65 - 00006754121 RESOLUTION NO. 65 -1979 A RESOLUTION ORDERING IMPROVEMENT, APPROVAL OF PLANS AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS: WATER, SANITARY SEWER AND STORM SEWER IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 128 WHEREAS, Resolution #52 -1979 adopted by the City Council on the 2nd day of April, 1979 set the date for hearing on the improvements, as specifically noted in the Notice of Hearing attached for reference as Exhibit "A" there to; and WHEREAS, Resolution #53 -1979 adopted by the City Council of the City of Fridley ordered al.l of these improvements. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Fridley, Anoka County, Minnesota, as follows: 1. That the following improvements proposed by Council Resolution 65 -1979 are hereby ordered to be effected and completed as soon as reasonably possible to -wit: Watermain, sanitary sewer laterals with service connections, storm sewer and related appurtenances located as follows: Lots 1,2, & 3, Block 10 ) Lots 1,2, & 3, Block 9 ) Great Northern Industrial Center Lots 1,2,3, & 4, Block 6) That the work involved in said improvement as listed above shall hereafter be designated as: ' WATER, SANITARY SEWER AND STORM SEWER IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 128 2. The plans and specifications prepared by the City Engineer and the City's Consulting Engineers for such improvements and each of the, pursuant to the Council resolutions heretofore adopted, a copy of which plans and specifications are hereto attached and made a part hereof; are hereby approved'and shall be filed with the City Clerk. 3. The work to be performed under WATER, SANITARY SEWER AND STORM SEWER IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 128 shall be performed under the contract. The City Engineer shall accordingly prepare and cause to be inserted in the official newspaper advertisements for bids upon the making of such improvements for three (3) weeks (at least 21 days), and shall specify the work to be done and will state that bids will be opened and considered at 11:30 a.m. on the 4th day of June, 1979 in the Council Chambers of the City Hall, and that no bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the City Engineer, and accompanied by a cash deposit, bid bond, or certified check payable to the City for five percent (5%) of the amount of such bid. That the advertisement for bids for WATER, SANITARY SEWER AND STORM SEWER IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 128 shall be substantially,inform as that noted in Exhibit "B" attacted hereto for reference and make a part hereof. BR LL WHEREAS, making of the all property owners whose improvements (as noted in property is liable to be assessed with the said notice) were given ten (10) days notice by mail and published notice of the Council hearing through two (2) weekly publications of the required notice, and the hearing was held and the property owners heard thereon at the hearing, as noted in said notice. BR LL 122 RESOLUTION NO. 65 -1979 (CONTINUED) CITY OF FRIDLEY NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS Sealed bids will be received and publicly opened by the City of Fridley, Anoka County, Minnesota, at the office of the City Manager, in the 4th day of June, 1979, at 11:30 M. for the furnishing of work and materials for the installation of Sanitary Sewer, Storm Sewer and Water Improveiment Project No. 128. The project consists of the following: Storm Sewer: 420 L.F. 42" RCP Storm Sewer ' 160 L.F. 33" RCP Storm Sewer 200 L.F. 24" RCP Storm Sewer 260 L.F. 21" RCP Storm Sewer 170 L.F. 15" RCP Storm Sewer with Related Appurtenances Sanitary Sewer: 420 L.F. 10" PVC Sanitary Sewer Pipe 650 L.F. 8" PVC Sanitary Sewer Pipe with Related Appurtenances Watermain: 1300 L.F.-DIP Watermain with Related Appurtenances All in accordance with plans and specifications prepared for the City of Fridley, Minnesota, by Comstock & Davis, Inc. Consulting Engineers, 1446 County Road "J" Minneapolis, Minnesota 55432, Telephone 784 -9346. ✓ Plans and specifications may be examined at the office of the City Manager, and copies may be obtained for the contractor's individual use by applying to the , Engineers and depositing with the Engineers $25.00 for each set. The deposit will be refunded to each bidder submitting a bonifide bid upon return of the documents in good condition within ten (10) days from the date of opening of bids, and to non - bidders upon return of the documents in good condition prior to the bid opening. Bids must be made on the basis of cash payment for the work, and accompanied by a cash deposit, certified check ( in a responsible bank in the State of Minnesota), ✓ or a bidders bond and made payable without condition to the City of Fridley in an amount of not less than 5% of the total amount of the bid. The City. Council reserves the right to waive any informalities in any in any bid received, and to reject any of all bids received, without explanation.
