I've discussed this item with Walt Hartmen, with the League of Cities, to get a clearer handle on the federal legislation which may eventually affect tax exempt mortgage revenue bonds. He indicated that the legislation is still pretty much up in the air, but expects some compromises which may allow some bonding capability to cities. He suggested that we go ahead and put a plan tagether and submit it to the Metropolitan Council and the tlinnesota Housing Finance Agency which are the review agencies for these plans. I also feel that we should move ahead with this plan development and submit it to the above agencies for review. It may only be effort ihat is wasted, however, if something breaks with the federal legislation, it may be in our best interest to have a plan in and approved. DATE Nov. 19, 1979 • I Enroute to'the fire I observed heavy dense black smoke issuing from the building. I ordered mutual aid assistance from Columbia Neights and continued on to the scene.. Subsequentl'y .an.addiiional 22" line was placed in operaiion as was a 2" line operated off Columbia Neights unit. . Asst.
