RESOLUTION NO. 111 - 1980
A RESOLUTION REQUESTING A FURTHER EXTENSION OF THE DUE DATE OF
FRIDLEY'S COMPREHENSIVE PLAN FOR SUBMITTAL TO THE METROPOLITAN
COUNCIL
WHEREAS, the City of Fridley has completed a draft of the Fridley
Comprehensive Plan as required by the Metropolitan Land Planning Act passed
by the Minnesota State Legislature in 1976; and
WHEREAS, the City of Fridley has fulfilled its requirements for public
hearings as layed out in the said Act; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission and City Council have approved the draft for
the Fridley Comprehensive Plan for submittal to adjacent communities for
reveiw; as of March 20, 1980; and
WHEREAS, the City of Fridley realizes the time period of 6 (six) months
allowed for review by adjacent communities will exceed the present due date;
and
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council has not resolved, the Comprehensive Plan
Amendment process; and that process, when determined, may effect the further
development of Fridley's Comprehensive Plan.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FRIDLEY that
the due date for Fridley's Comprehensive Plan be requested from the
Metropolitan Council to May 1, 1981.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FRIDLEY THIS 27TH DAY
OF OCTOBER, 1980.
