RESOLUTION NO. 29 -1980
RESOLUTION ORDERING IMPROVEMENT, APPROVAL OF PLANS AND
ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS: WATER RESERVOIR REPAIR
WHEREAS, the 3 Million Gallon Reservoir is blistering and extensive
deterioration of the concrete on the side walls has been detected;
WHEREAS, the Public Works Director has submitted plans and specifications for
the above described work;
For immediate repairs and improvements for THE 3 MILLION GALLON WATER STORAGE
RESERVOIR
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Fridley,
Minnesota, as follows:
1. Such plans and specifications, a copy of which are attached hereto and
made a part hereof, are hereby approved.
2. This repair work shall be performed under one contract.
The Public Works Director shall accordingly prepare and cause to be inserted
in the official newspaper advertisements for bids upon the making of such
improvements under such approved plans and specifications. The advertisement
shall be published for two (2) weeks (at least 10 days), and shall specify
the work to be done and will state that bids will be opened at 1:00 p.m. on
the 30th day of April, 1980 in the Council Chambers of the City Hall, and
that no bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the City Clerk
and accompanied by a cash deposit, bid bond, or certified check payable to
the City for five per cent (5q) of the amount of such a bid.
