RESOLUTION NO. 70 - 1980
A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE METROPOLITAN COUNCIL FOR A LATER
PUBLIC HEARING DATE ON PLAN AMENDMENT GUIDELINES
WHEREAS, the City of Fridley received the proposed draft of the Metropolitan
Council Plan Amendment Guidelines in early July, and
WHEREAS, a public hearing on the proposal has been scheduled by the
Metropolitan Council for July 31, 1980, and
WHEREAS, this will not allow sufficient time for the City Staff, Planning
Commission and City Council to review the proposal, and
WHEREAS, THE City Council is concerned about the amendment procedures as well
as the definition of Comp Plan changes that would require an amendment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Fridley
requests that the Metropolitan Council set an additional Public Hearing date
at least 30 days subsequent to the July 31, 1980 Public Hearing date that was
previously established.
