RESOLUTION NO. 82 - 1980
RESOLUTION RENAMING HILLCREST AVENUE, LYING BETWEEN HICKORY
DRIVE N.E. and 73RD AVENUE N. E. ON THE EAST SIDE OF EAST
RIVE ROAD, TO ASHTON AVENUE N.E.
WHEREAS, this street is on the east side of East River Road and lies between
Hickory Drive and 73rd Avenue;
WHEREAS, the Police and Fire Departments of the City of Fridley concur with
the proposed name change for the general safety and welfare of the area
residents;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS:
1. That part of Hillcrest Avenue, lying between Hickory Drive and 73rd
Avenue, be renamed Ashton Avenue N.E.
2. The City Finance Director is hereby directed to register said street name
change with (A) the proper Anoka County authorities (B) the appropriate
postal authorities, and (C) all other interested parties.
3. That this change will take effect immediately.
