RES 1981-82 - 00006288F RESOLUTION NO. 82 - 1981 A RESOLUTION ORDERING IIMPROV WU, APPROVAL OF PLANS AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS: STORM SEWER AND DRAINAGE PROJECT NO. 132 WW, 44MREH"aMr BE IT RESOLVED, By the Council of the City of Fridley, Anoka County, Minnesota as follows: 1. That the following improvements proposed by Council Resolutions are ordered to be effected and completed as-soon as reasonably possible, to-wit: Grading, dredging, storm sewer and related drainage appurtenances along Central Avenue between Highway 65 and Mississippi Street. That the work involved in said improvements as listed above shall hereafter be designated as: STORM SEWER AND DRAINAGE PMJECT NO. 132, MOORS LAKE RESTORATION 2. The plans and specifications prepared by the Public Works Director and E.A. Hickok and Associates, Inc., for such improvements and each of them, pursuant to the Council Resolutions heretofore adopted, a copy of which plans and specifications are hereto attached and made a part hereof, are hereby approved and shall be filed with the City Clerk. The Public Works Director shall accordingly prepare and cause to be inserted in the official newspaper advertisements for bids upon the making of such improvements under such approve plans and specifications. The advertisement shall be published for three (3) weeks (at least 21 days) , and shall specify the work to be done and will state that bids will be opened and considered at 11:00 a.m. on the 25th day of August, 1981, in the City Hall, and that no bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the Public Works Director, and accompanied by a cash deposit, bid bond, or certified check payable to the City for five percent (58) of the amount of such bid. That the advertisement for bids for STORM SEWER AND DRAINAGE PRQ7ECT N0. 132, MOORE LAKE RESTORATION shall be substantially in form as that noted in Exhibit "A" attached hereto for reference and made a part hereof. NEE V 164 1 RESOLUTION NO. 82 - 1981 "EXHIBIT A" ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS , CITY OF FRIDLEY 6431 UNIVERSITY AVENUE N.E. FRIDLEY, MIDIlETA 55432 Separate sealed bids for the construction of Storm Sewer Diversions - Moore Lake Restoration Project - Phase II, which consists of the following: 220 L.F. of 36" RCP, 1380 L.F. of 24" RCP, 7 manholes, 110 L.F. of jacking, 7000 cu. yds. of common excavation and miscellaneous appurtences to make a completed project. Proposals will be received by the City of Fridley at their offices located at 6431 University Avenue N.E., Fridley, Minnesota 55432, unitl 11:00 o'clock a.m. Central Daylight Time, August 25, 1981 and then opened and read aloud. Bids received after the aforementioned time will be returned unopened. The CONTRACT DOCUMENTS may be examined at the following locations: City of Fridley 6431 University Avenue N.E. Fridley; Minnesota 55432 E. A. Hickok and Associated, Inc. 545 Indian Mound Wayzata, Minnesota 55391 Copies of the CONTRACT DOCUMENTS may be obtained at the office of: E. A. Hickok and Associates 545 Indian Mound Wayzata, Minnesota 55391 upon payment of $25.00 for each set. No refund will be made to any bidder or non - bidder. Each bid shall be accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, certified check or bid bond for not less than five (5) percent of the amount of the bid, made payable to the City of Fridley, Minnesota, which shall be forfeited to the City in the event that the low bidder fails to enter a contract. The successful bidder shall furnish a performance bond within ten (10) days after award of the contract in the full amount of the contract. The performance bond shall be executed by a company duly authorized to do business in the State of Minnesota. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive irregularities if it appears to said Owner that such irregularities and /or errors were made inadvertantly, or to accept such bids as, in the opinion of the Owner, will be to the best interest of the Owner.
