A RESOLUTION ORDERING IMPROV1MUr APPROVAL OF PLANS
AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS: REMOVAL AND
REPL7K OF MISCEUANE00S O01 BETE CURB, GUrM AND
SIDEWALK - 1.982
WHEREAS, the construction of certain improvements is deemed to be in the
interest of the City of Fridley and the property owners affected thereby.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of
Fridley, Anoka County, Minnesota, as follows:
1. That the following improvements proposed are hereby ordered to be
effected and completed as required:
Removal and replacement of miscellaneous concrete curb, gutter and
sidewalk - 1982.
2. The plans and specifications prepared by the Public Works Director
for such improvements, a copy of which plans and specifications are
hereto attached and made a part hereof, are hereby approved and shall
be filed with the City Clerk.
The Public Works Director shall accordingly prepare and cause to be
inserted in the official newspaper advertisements for bids upon the making
of such improvements under such approved plans and specifications. The
advertisement shall be published for three (3) weeks (at least 21 days),
and shall specify the work to be done and will state that bids will be
opened at 11:00 A.M. on the 9th day of February 1982 in the Council
Chambers of the City Hall, and that no bids will be considered unless
sealed and filed with the Public Works Director. That the advertisement
for bids for REMOVAL AND REPLACEMENT OF MISCELLANEOUS CONCRETE CURB,
GUTTER AND SIDEWALK - 1982 shall be substantially in the standard form.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FRIDLEY THIS 18TH
DAY OF JANUARY, 1982.

Sealed bids will be received and publicly opened by the City of Fridley,
Anoka County, Minnesota, at the office of the Public works Director, 6431
University Avenue N.E., Fridley, Minnesota 55432 (Tel. 571 -3450) on the 9779
day of FEBRUARY, 1982, at 11:00 a.m., for the furnishing of work and
materials for FJ24DVAL AND REPLACEMENT OF MISCELLANEOUS CURB, GmTER AND
SIDEMU
2,000 lin. ft. Miscellaneous Concrete Curb & Gutter
Removal & Replacement
31000 sq. ft. Construct 5 ft. wide x 4 inch sidewalk
All in accordance with plans and specifications prepared by John G. Flora,
P.E., Public Works Director, Fridley City Hall, 6431 University Avenue N.E.,
Fridley, MN 55432 (Tel. 571- 3450).
Plans and specifications may be examined at the office of the Public Works
Director and copies may be obtained for the Contractor's individual use by
applying to the Public Works Director and depositing with the Public Works
Director $25.00 for each set. The deposit will be refunded to each bidder
submitting a bona fide bid upon return of the documents in good condition
within ten (10) days from the bid opening date.
Bids must be made on the basis of cash payment for work, and accompanied by
a cash deposit, certified check (on a responsible bank in the State of
Minnesota) or a bidder's bond made payable without condition to the City of
Fridley, MN, in an amount of not less than five (58) per cent of the total
amount of the bid.
The City Council reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive
any informalities in any bids received without explanation.
No bid may be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days.
