RES 1982-57 - 000059931 RADON W. 57 — 1982 ] :•:Y 1 •; [•1. 111: ?11 M }1 1' :i• Mel F ffMS, Section 402.08 of the City Code provides that the City Council shall have authority to set water and sewer rates by resolution, FIBS, the City Council has indicated a desire to provide a reduced sewer rate for senior citizens and disabled perscns, and WHMMS, senior citizens as a class have water consumption and sewer flow substantially less than other I-1 properties, and SKMMS, it is the desire of the City Council to provide reduced sewer rates for persons living in disability pay, NOW, ARE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the following rate schedule shall be in effect for sewer service for customers qualifying for the senior citizen/disability sewer rate. Single Family Dwelling $6.30 per quarter The following criteria must be met in order to qualify for the senior citizen sewer rate: 1. The senior citizen or disabled person must occupy a single family or double bungalow unit. The senior citizen/disabled person rate does not apply to aprartments, commercial, industrial, institutional or other. 2. The customer or person having responsibility for payment of the sewer charge must be 62 years of age or older, or living on disability Social Security or other similar disability pay. 3.
