WHEREAS, the City Council has previously approved a plan to restore Moore Lake
by diverting storm water and by constructing a Biological Aeration Surface
Filtration Unit hereinafter referred to as BASFU; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has heretofore determined that the City of Fridley
should acquire certain properties for the construction of a BASFU; and
WHEREAS, an independent appraisal of the below described property was
obtained.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Fridley,
Anoka County, Minnesota as follows:
1. That the aoquistion by the City of Fridley of the following described
property is necessary for the purpose of constructing a BASFU:
Lots 4, Sr 6A & 6B, Block 1,
Iwen Terrace
2. That the City Staff is authorized and directed to offer the present
property owner a negotiated amount of $70,300. This offer is contingent upon
the present owner paying all taxes and special assessments payable in 1982.
