WHEREAS, Plans and specifications have bee prepared for this project by Donohue, Hetherington & Associates. Inc.; and NOW, ARE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Fridleyr Anoka County, Minnesota as follows: 1. That the improvements as shown in the plans and specifications are hereby ordered to be effected and completed as soon as reasonably possible. That the work involved in said improvements as listed above shall hereinafter be designated as: CITY OF FRIDLEY ROOF OONSnWCTION FOR FILTRAT]ON PLA m PRWEGT #138 2. The plans and specifications prepared by Donohue, Hetherington & Associates Inc. for such improvements, a copy of which plans and specifications are hereto attached and made a part hereof, are hereby approved and shall be filed with the City Clerk. The Public Works Director shall accordingly prepare and cause to be inserted in the official newspaper advertisements for bids upon the making of such improvements under such approved plans and specifications. The advertisement shall be published for three (3) weeks (at least 21 days), and shall specify the work to be done and will state that bids will be opened and considered at 11:00 a.m, on the 19th day of October 1982 in the Council Chamber of the City Hall, and that no bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the Public Works Director and accompanied by a cash deposit, bid bond, or certified check payable to the City for five percent (58) of the amount of such bid. That the advertisement for bids for CITY OF FRIDLEY ROOF CONSTRUCTION FOR FIL7RATIDN PLAKS PRCUECT #138 shall be substantially in the standard form. All in accordance with plans and specifications -prepared by Donohue, Hetherington & Associates, Inc. 7400 Metro Boulevard, Suite 310, Minneapolis, Minnesota 55435 (Tel. 835 - 1226). Plans and specifications may be examined at the office of the Public Works Director and copies may be obtained for the Contractor's individual use by applying to the Public Works Director and depositing with the Public Works Director $25.00 for each set. 7he deposit will be refunded to each bidder submitting a bona fide bid upon return of the documents in good condition within ten (10) days from the bid opening date. Bids must be made on the basis of cash payment for work, and accompanied by a cash deposit, certified check (on a responsible bank in the State of Minnesota) or a bidder's bond made payable without condition to the City of Fridley, Minnesota, in an amount of not less than 58 of the total amount of that bid. The City Council reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities in any bids received without explanation. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days.
