RESOLUTION NO. 118 - 1983
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF THE SIX CITIES
WATERSHED MANAGEMENT ORGANIZATION JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, the Minnesota legislature requires the establishment of surface water
management organizations; and
' WHEREAS, the easterly side of the Upper Mississippi River Region does not have
an established water management organization; and
WHEREAS, the City of Blaine, Columbia Heights, Coon Rapids, Fridley, Hilltop
and Spring Lake Park have agreed to join together to establish a joint powers
agreement; and
WHEREAS, this joint powers agreement establishes the Six Cities Watershed
Management Organization which complies with the legislative requirements.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESCLVED, by the City Council of the City of Fridley,
County of Anoka, that the City of Fridley enter into the Joint Powers
Agreement establishing the Six Cities Watershed Management Organization, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Manager are authorized to
execute the Joint Powers Agreement.
