WHEREAS, the Fridley Housing and Redevelopment Authority as the
responsible Agency for the implementation of the Center City District, has
promoted and secured development in Phase II of the project area; and
WHEREAS, the Fridley Housing and Redevelopment Authority has requested
assistance from the City of Fridley for certain public improvement
projects within Phase II of the project area.
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 11 -1983 adopted by the City Council of the City of
Fridley, Minnesota approved this project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of
Fridley, Anoka County, Minnesota as follows:
1. That the following improvements proposed by Council Resolutions are
hereby ordered to be effected and completed as soon as reasonably
possible, to-wit:
Plaza development, including grading, paving, landscaping, lighting,
and other facilities located in the Fridley Center City Plaza.
That the work involved in said improvements as listed above shall
hereinafter be included as part of:
FRIDLEY CENTER CITY PLAZA PROJECT
2. The plans and specifications prepared by Inter Design, Inc. for such
improvements and each of them, pursuant to the Council resolutions
heretofore adopted are hereby approved and shall be filed with the
City Clerk.
The Public Works Director shall accordingly prepare and cause to be
inserted in the official newspaper advertisements for bids upon the
making of such improvements under such approved plans and
specifications. The advertisement shall be published for three (3)
weeks (at least 21 days), and shall specify the work to be done and
will state that bids will be opened and considered at 1:30 p.m. on the
22nd day of March 1983 in the Council Chambers of the City Hall, and
that no bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the
Public Works Director, and accompanied by a cash deposit, bid bond, or
certified check payable to the City for five percent (5 %) of the
amount of such bid. That the advertisement for bids for FRIDLEY
CENTER CITY PLAZA PROJECT shall be substantially in the standard form.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FRIDLEY THIS 28TH
DAY OF FEBRUARY, 1983.
