RESOLUTION ORDERING IMPROVEMENT. APPROVAL OF PLANS
AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS: STREET
IlUROVIIMENT PROJECT NO. ST. 1983 -2
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 24 - 1983 adopted by the City Council of the City
of Fridley ordered all of these improvements.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of
Fridley, Anoka County, Minnesota as follows:
1. That the following improvements proposed by Council Resolutions are
hereby ordered to be effected and completed as soon as reasonably
possible, to-wit:
Street Improvements, including grading, stabilized base, hot -mix
bituminous mat, concrete curb and gutter, sidewalks, storm sewer
system, and other facilities located as follows:
5th Street 63rd Avenue to Mississippi Street
2. That the work involved in said improvements as listed above shall
hereinafter be included as part of:
STREET IMPROVEMENT PRCJECT ST. 1983 -2
3. The plans and specifications prepared by the Public Works Director
for such improvements and each of them, pursuant to the Council
resolutions heretofore adopted, are hereby approved and shall be
filed with the City Clerk.
4. The work to be performed under MUNICIPAL STATE AID STREET IMPROVEMENT
PROTECT 1983 -2 shall be performed under one contract.
5. The Public Works Director shall accordingly prepare and cause to be
inserted in the official newspaper advertisements for bids upon the
making of such improvements under such approved plans and
specifications. The advertisement shall be published for three (3)
weeks (at least 21 days) , and shall specify the work to be done and
will state that bids will be opened and considered at 11:00 a.m. on
the 22nd day of March 1983 in the Council Chambers of the City Hall,
and that no bids will be considered unless sealed and f iled with the
Public Works Director, and accompanied by a cash deposit, bid bond,
or certified check payable to the City of Fridley for five percent
(5%) of the amount of such bid. That the advertisement for bids for
STREET IMPROVEMENT PROTECT ST. 1983 -2 (MSAS) shall be substantially
in the standard form.

6. That the improvement of 5th Street from 63rd Avenue to Mississippi
Street as proposed by Council Resolution is approved.
