WHEREAS, the Fridley Housing and Redevelopment Authority as the responsible
Agency for the implementation of the Center City District, has promoted and
secured development in Phase II of the project area; and
WHEREAS, the Fridley Housing and Redevelopment Authority has requested
assistance from the City of Fridley for certain public improvement projects
within Phase II of the project area.
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 11 -1983 adopted by the City Council of the City of
Fridley, Minnesota approved this project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Fridley,
Anoka County, Minnesota as follows:
1. That the following improvements proposed by Council Resolutions are hereby
ordered to be effected and completed as soon as reasonably possible, to-wit-
FRIDLEY CENTER CITY PLAZA SIGN CONTRACT
That the work involved in said improvements as listed above shall hereinafter
be included as part of:
FRIDLEY CENTER CITY PLAZA SIGN ODNTRACT
2. The plans and specifications prepared by Inter Design, Inc, for such
improvements and each of them, pursuant to the Council resolutions heretofore
adopted are hereby approved and shall be filed with the City Clerk.
The Public Works Director shall accordingly prepare and cause to be inserted
in the official newspaper advertisements for bids upon the making of such
improvements under such approved plans and specifications. The advertisement
shall be published for three (3) weeks (at least 21 days) , and shall specify
the work to be done and will state that bids will be opened and considered at
11:00 a.m. on the 26th day of April 1983 in the Council Chambers of the City
Hall, and that no bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the
Public Works Director, and accompanied by a cash deposit, bid bond, or
certified check payable to the City for five percent (5 %) of the amount of
such bid. That the advertisement for bids for FRIDLEY CENTER CITY PLAZA SIGN
CONTRACT shall be substantially in the standard form.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FRIDLEY THIS 4TH DAY OF
APRIL 1983.

APPENDIX "A"
NOTICE TO BIDDERS
FRIDLEY CITY CENTER PLAZA SIGN CONTRACT
Sealed bids will be received and publicly opened by the City of Fridley, Anoka
County, Minnesota, at the office of the Public Works Director, 6431 University
Avenue N.E., Fridley, Minnesota 55432 (Tel. 571 -3450) on the 26th day of
April, 1983, at 11:00 a.m.
1 Super Pylon complete with concrete footing
1 Kiosk with anchor bolts (footing by others)
1 Signage Unit with anchor bolts (footing by others)
All in accordance with plans and specifications prepared by John G. Flora,
P.E., Public Works Director, Fridley City Hall, 6431 University Avenue N.E.,
Fridley, MN 55432 (Tel. 571 - 3450).
Plans and specifications may be examined at the office of the Public Works
Director and copies may be obtained for the Contractor's individual use by
applying to the Public Works Director.
Bids must be made on the basis of cash payment for work, and accompanied by a
cash deposit, certified check (on a responsible bank in the State of Minnesota)
or a bidder's bond made payable without condition to the City of Fridley,
Minnesota, in an amount of not less than five (5i) per cent of the total amount
of the bid.
The City Council reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any
informalities in any bids received without explanation.
No bid may be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days.
