RES 1983-53 - 00005715RESOLUTION NO. 53 - 1983 RESOLUTION DESIGNATING SIGNATORY FOR PEACE OFFICER STANDARDS AND TRAINING (POST) REIMBURSEMENT MONEY WHEREAS, on January 1, 1982, the State of Minnesota began collecting money fran a ten percent surcharge on all moving offenses; and WHEREAS, from this penalty assessment money, the Post Board has been appropriated 6900,000 to be used as a reimbursement to local units of government to offset the cost of providing continuing education to peace officers and constables; and WHEREAS, the City of Fridley Police Department will be eligible to receive post training reimbursement money; and WHEREAS, the Chief Law Enforcement Officer of the Agency, that being James P. Hill, Public Safety Director for the City of Fridley, is required to sign the application forms on behalf of the City of Fridley; and WHEREAS, an officer of the City, as designated by City Council, is required to sign the application in addition to James P. Hill; NCW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Fridley, Minnesota, as follows: That the Director of Central Services, Sidney C. Irnan of the City of Fridley, is hereby designated as the officer of the City authorized as signator for applications for post training money.
