RES 1983-80 - 00005787168 RESOLU= NO. 80 - 1983 RESOLUTION DIRECTING PUBLICATION OF HEARING ON PROPOSED ASSESSESSMENT ROLL FOR THE 1983 SERVICE CONNECTIONS WHEREAS, by a resolution passed by the Council on September 12, 1983, the City Clerk was directed to prepare a proposed assessment of the cost of sewer laterals, water laterals, and service connections. WHEREAS, the Clerk has notified the Council that such proposed assessment roll has been completed and filed in his office for public inspection. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Fridley, Anoka County, Minnesota, as follows: 1. The City Council shall meet at the City Hall in the City of Fridley, Anoka County, Minnesota, on the 3rd day of October, 1983, at 7:30 o'clock P.M. to pass upon the proposed assessment for: 1983 SERVICE OONNEC= ASSESSMENT RCLL 2. The City Clerk shall publish notices of the time and place of meeting in the official newspaper of the City at least two (2) weeks prior to such meeting. WILLIAM J -MAYOR ATTEST: 0711 Nrlawwrlm 'n M 7• 1 Page 2 — Resolution No. 80 - 1983 169 CITY OF FRIDLEY ANOKA COUNTY, MINNESOTA NOTICE OF HEARING ON ASSESSMENT FOR WATER AND SRIER MAINS, LATERALS, AND SERVICE CaNNECTIONS Notice is hereby given that the Council of the City of Fridley will meet at the City Hall in said City on the 3rd day of October, 1983, at 7:30 o'clock p.m. to hear and pass upon all objections, if any, to the proposed assessments in respect to the following improvements, to-wit: 1983 WATER AND SEWER MAINS, LATERALS, AND SERVICE I NOT HERETOFORE FURNISHED AND AVAILABLE The proposed assessment roll for each of said improvements is now on file and open to public inspection by all persons interested, in the office of the Clerk of said City. At said hearing, the Council will consider written or oral objections to the proposed assessments of each of said improvements. Said improvements will be assessed against the properties within the above noted areas in whole or in part proportionately to each of the lands therein contained according to the benefits received. j Page 3 — Resolution No. 80 - 1983 1.Q A property owner may appeal an assessment to the district court by serving notice of the appeal upon the City Mayor or Clerk within thirty (30) days after adoption of the assessment and filing such notice with the district court within ten (10) days after service upon the City Mayor or Clerk; however, no appeal may be taken as to the amount of any individual assessment unless a written objection signed by the affected property owner is filed with the City Clerk prior to the assessment hearing or presented to the presiding officer at the hearing.
