RES 1984-123 - 00005572255 RESOLUTION NO. 123 - 1984 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING SUBMISSION OF THE GRANT APPLICATION AND EXECUTION OF THE GRANT AGREEMENT - ANOKA TRI -CITY ALCOHOL COUNTERMEASURE A.T.A.C. WHEREAS, the State of Minnesota will make grant funds available for DWI ' enforcement measures to local law enforcement agencies to begin October 11 1984 and end September 30, 1985; and WHEREAS, the cities of Blaine, Coon Rapids and Fridley are desirous of providing a coordinated cooperative approach to DWI enforcement; and WHEREAS, a joint powers agreement is in place which will allow for a coordinated enforcement effort; and WHEREAS, the City of Blaine and the City of Coon Rapids agree to allow the City of Fridley to administratively coordinate the A.T.A.C. grant. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Fridley act as one of three sponsoring units of government and one of three grantees for the project titled Anoka Tri -city Alochol Countermeasure (A.T.A.C.) . The A.T.A.C. project is to be conducted in the City of Fridley by the Fridley Police Department during the period from October 1, 1984 through September 30, 1985. James P. Hill, Public Safety Director, is hereby authorized to apply to the State of Minnesota Department of Public Safety for funding of the project and execute such agreements as are necessary to implement the project on behalf of the Fridley City Council.
