RESMUTION NO. 14 — 1984
RESOLUTION RENAMING THAT PART OF 77TH WAY AND 79TH WAY,
LYING BETWEEN MAIN STREET AND THE RAMROAD TRACKS, TO 77TH
AVENUE AND 79TH AVENUE
WHEREAS, 77th Way and 79th Way run generally in an east -west direction; and
WHEREAS, all other numbered streets between Main Street and the railroad
tracks are called avenues; and
WHEREAS, the Police and Fire Departments of the City of Fridley concur with
the proposed name change for the general safety and welfare of the area
residents;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESCEVED by the Council of the City of Fridley:
1. That the part of 77th Way and 79th Way, lying between Main Street and the
railroad tracks, be renamed 77th Avenue and 79th Avenue; and
2. The City Clerk be hereby directed to register said street name changes
with the appropriate authorities of Anoka County and the United States Postal
Service as well as other affected parties; and
3. That this change will take effect immediately.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FRIDLEY THIS 23RD DAY OF
JANUARY, 1984.
