RESOLUTION NO. 29 - 1984
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING APPLICATION FOR A BIKEWAY GRANT
FROM THE MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION
WHEREAS, the Minnesota Department of Transportation is requesting 2 million
' dollars per year from the State Legislature for local bikeway construction;
and
WHEREAS, the Minnesota Department of Transportation is accepting applications
in anticipation of approval of this funding for the 1984 construction season;
and
WHEREAS, it is anticipated that the MnDot funds will pay for 75% of the cost
of this bikeway construction with the remaining portion being paid by the City
of Fridley; and
WHEREAS, the City of Fridley has an adopted bikeway plan and the grant will
fund a project consistent with this plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Council of the City of Fridley �11
that application is authorized for a bikeway grant to fund the construction of
a bikeway from the Community Park to Springbrook Nature Center at North Park
along T.H. 47 and Co. Rd. 132.
