RES 1984-53 - 000053961 RESOLUTION ORDERING IMPROJEMKNT AM APPRWAL OF PLANS AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS: WATER AND SANITARY SEWER IMPROJEMENP PROTECT NO. 145. WHEREAS, Resolutions No. 45 - 1984 adopted on the 26th day of March, 1984, by the City Council, set the date for hearing on the proposed improvements as specifically noted in the Notice of Hearing attached thereto for reference as Exhibits "A ", and, WHEREAS, all of the property owners whose property is liable to be assessed with the making of these improvements (as noted in said notice) were given ten (10) days notice by mail and published notice of the Council Hearing through two (2) weekly publications of the required notice, and the hearings were held and the property owners heard thereon at the hearing as noted in said notice: and WHEREAS, Resolution No. 52 - 1984 adopted by the City Council of the City of Fridley ordered all of these improvements. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Fridley, Anoka County, Minnesota as follows: 1. That the following improvements proposed by Council Resolution No. 44 -1984 are hereby ordered to be effected and completed as soon as reasonably possible, to-wit: Street Improvements, including grading, stablilized base, hot -mix bituminous mat, concrete curb and gutter, sidewalks, water and sanitary sewer mains and services, storm sewer system and other facilities located as follows: 66th Avenue Creek Park Lane Cul De Sac to Arthur St. Central Ave. to Arthur St. That the work involved in said improvements as listed above shall hereinafter be included as part of: WATER & SANITARY SEWER IMPROJESIENT PROTECT NO. 145 2. The plans and specifications prepared by the Public Works Director for such improvements and each of them pursuant to the Council resolutions heretofore adopted, a copy of which plans and specifications are hereto attached and made a part thereof, are hereby approved and shall be filed with the City Clerk. The Public Works Director shall accordingly prepare and cause to be inserted in the official newspaper advertisements for bids upon the making of such improvements under such approved plans and specifications. The advertisement shall be published for three (3) weeks (at least 21 days) , and shall specify the work to be done and will state that bids will be opened and considered at 79 Page 2 — Resolution No. 53 - 1984 $® 2:00 p.m. on the 1st day of May 1984 in the Council Chambers of the City Hall and that no bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the Public Works Director and accompanied by a cash deposit, bid bond, or certified check payable to the City for five percent (5 %) of the amount of such bid. That the advertisement for bids for WATER AND SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENT PROTECT NO. 145 shall be substantially in the standard form. NE r*11"OR ATTEST: SIDNEY C. - CITY CLERK 2/8/18/24 1 Page 3 — Resolution No. 53 - 1984 Sealed bids will be received and publicly opened by the City of Fridley, Anoka County, Minnesota, at the office of the Public Works Director, 6431 University Avenue N.E., Fridley, Minnesota 55432 (Tel. 571 -3450) on the 1st day of May, 1984, at 2:00 p.m., for the furnishing of work and materials for All in accordance with plans and specifications prepared by John G. Flora, P.E., Public Works Director, Fridley City Hall, 6431 University Avenue N.E. Fridley, MN 55432 (Tel. 571 - 3450). Plans and specifications may be examined at the office of the Public Works Director and copies may be obtained for the Contractor's individual use by applying to the Public Works Director and depositing with the Public Works Director $25.00 for each set. The deposit will be refunded to each bidder submitting a bona fide bid upon return of the documents in good condition within ten (10) days from the bid opening date. Bids must be made on the basis of cash payment for work, and accompanied by a cash deposit, certified check (on a responsible bank in the State of Minnesota) or a bidder's bond made payable without condition to the City of Fridley, MN, in an amount of not less than five (5 %) per cent of the total amount of the bid. The City Council reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities in any bids received without explanation. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days.
