RES 1985-14 - 00005068RESOLUTI(EV NO. 14 - 1985 RESOLUTION ORDER m IMPRwEmENT AND APPROVAL OF PLANS AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS: STREET IMPROVEMENT PROTECT NO. ST. 1985 -1 & 2 WHEREAS, Resolution No. 6 - 1985 adopted on the 7th day of January 1985, by ' the City Council, set the date for hearing on the proposed improvements as specifically noted in the Notice of Hearing attached thereto for reference as Exhibits "A "; and WHEREAS, all of the property owners whose property is liable to be assessed with the making of these improvements (as noted in said notice) were given ten (10) days notice by mail and published notice of the Council Hearing through two (2) weekly publications of the required notice, and the hearings were held and the property owners heard thereon at the hearing as noted in said notice; and WHEREAS, Resolution No. - 1985 adopted by the City Council of the City of Fridley ordered all of these improvements. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Fridley, Anoka County, It nnesota as follows: 1. That the following improvements proposed by Council Resolution No. 5 - 1985 are hereby ordered to be effected and completed as soon as reasonably possible, to-wit: Street improvements, including grading, stabilized base, hot -mix bituminous mat, concrete curb and gutter, sidewalks, water and sanitary sewer services, storm sewer system, and other facilities located as follows: 5th Street 61st Avenue to 63rd Avenue University Ave W Service Dr 81st Avenue to North University Ave E Service Dr Civic Center to Mississippi St 73 1/2 Avenue Cul de Sac to 110' West E River Road Service Dr 53rd Way North to Cul de Sac STREET IMPROVEMENT PROTECT ST. 1985 -1 & 2 2. The plans and specifications prepared by the Public Works Director for such improvements and each of them pursuant to the Council resolutions heretofore adopted, a copy of which plans and specifications are hereto attached and made a part thereof, are hereby approved and shall be f iled with the City Clerk. 1 17 iJ 1 Page 2 — Resolution No. 14 - 1985 18 The Public Works Director shall accordingly prepare and cause to be inserted in the official newspaper advertisements for bids upon the making of such improvements under such approved plans and specifications. The advertisement shall be published for three (3) weeks (at least 21 days) , and shall specify the work to be done and will state that bids will be opened and considered at 11:30 a.m. on the 16th day of April 1985 in the Council Chambers of the City Hall and that no bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the Public Works Director and accompanied by a cash deposit, bid bond, or certified check payable to the City for five percent (5%) of the amount of such bid. That the advertisement for bids for STREET IIMPROVUENT ST. 1985 -1 & 2 shall be substantially in the standard form.
