RES 1985-48 - 00005164110 : a.7• .1 8 ,.� A RESCLUMUN ORDERING IMPRUM ENTr APPROVAL OF PLANS AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS: MISSISSIPPI STREET LIGHTING PROTECT WHEREAS, Resolution No. 26 — 1985 proposed certain improvements in the City of Fridley and ordered preliminary glans, specifications and estimates of costs ' thereof; and WHEREAS, Resolution No. 27 — 1985 received the preliminary report for these improvements and a petition to waive a public hearing and have the cost of the improvements assessed; and WHEREAS, Resolution No. 32 — 1985 ordered these improvements. NCW, TdEREFORE, BE IT RESCLVED by the City Council of the City of Fridleyr Anoka County, Minnesota, as follows: 1. That the Mississippi Street Lighting Project recommended by the Public Works Department be constructed, and the work involved in said improvement shall hereafter be designated as: MISSISSIPPI STREET LIGHTING PROTECT 2. The plans and specifications prepared by the Public Works Department for such improvement and each of then, pursuant to the Council action heretofore, are hereby approved and shall be filed with the City Clerk. 3. That the improvements to be made under this project are special in nature and can best be constructed under a separate contract. 4. The work to be performed under Mississippi Street Lighting Project shall ' be performed under one contract. The Public Works Director shall accordingly prepare and cause to be inserted in the official newspaper advertisement for bids upon the making of such improvements under such approved plans and specifications. The advertisement shall be published for two (2) weeks (at least 10 days), and shall specify the work to be done and will state that bids will be opened at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, the 21st day of May, 1985 in the Council Chambers of the City Hall, and that no bids will be considered unless sealed and f iled with the Public works Department and accompanied by a cash deposit, bid bond, or certified check payable to the City for five per cent (58) of the amount of such bid.
