RES 1985-72 - 00005208RESOLUTION NO. 72 - 1985 RESOLUTION DIRECTING PUBLICATION OF HEARING ON PROPOSED ASSESSMENT ROLL FOR THE 1985 SERVICE CONNECTIONS ' WHEREAS, by a resolution passed by the Council on September 23, 1985, the City Clerk was directed to prepare a proposed assessment of the cost of sewer laterals, water laterals, and service connections, WHEREAS, the Clerk has notified the Council that such proposed assessment roll has been completed and filed in his office for public inspection. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Fridley, Anoka County, Minnesota, as follows: 1. The City Council shall meet at the City Hall in the City of Fridley, Anoka County, Minnesota, on the 7th day of October, 1985, at 7:30 o'clock p.m. to pass upon the proposed assessment for: 1985 SERVICE CONNECTION ASSESSMENT ROLL 2. The City Clerk shall publish notices of the time and place of meeting in the official newspaper of the City at least two (2) weeks prior to such meeting. NEE R ATTEST: CITY 3/7/2,/32 157 151P CITY OF FRIDL Y ANOKA ODUNTY, MINNESOTA, NOTICE OF HEARING OF ASSESSMENT FOR WATER AND SEWER MAINS, LATERALS, AND SERVICE CONNECTIONS Notice is hereby given that the Council of the City of Fridley will meet at the City Hall in said City on the 7th day of October, 1985, at 7:30 o'clock p.m., to hear and pass upon all objections, if any, to the proposed assessments in respect to the following improvement, to -wit: 1985 WATER AND SHgER MAINS, LNTERATS, AND SERVICE CONNECTIONS NOT HERETOFORE FURNISHED AND AVAILABLE The proposed assessment roll for each of said improvements is now on f ile and open to public inspection by all persons interested, in the office of the Clerk of said City. At said hearing, the Council will consider written or oral objections to the proposed assessments for each of said improvements. The general nature of the improvements and each of then is the construction of furnishing of sewer mains, laterals, and service connections, and water mains, laterals, and service connections in and to the properties, as follows: Lot 2, Block 1 W. 70' of Lot 7, Blk. 2 (Ex. S. 1001) Lots 4 and 5. Blk. 8 Lot 1, Blk. 1 Lot 1, Blk. 1 Lot 1, Blk. 1 Brottlund Estates Addition Brookview 2nd Addition Hamilton's Addition to Mechanicsville Herwal 2nd Addition Target Addition Western Ridge Estates Addition The area proposed to be assessed for said improvements and each of them is all that land benefited by said improvements or each of them and is the same as those listed above. Said improvements will be assessed against the properties within the above noted areas in whole or in part proportionately to each of the lands therein contained according to the benefits received. A property owner may appeal an assessment to the district court by serving notice of the appeal upon the City Mayor or Clerk within thirty (30) days after adoption of the assessment and f iling such notice with the district court within ten (10) days after service upon the City Mayor or Clerk; however, no appeal may be taken as to the amount of any individual assessment unless a written objection signed by the affected property owner is filed with the City Clerk prior to the assessment hearing or presented to the presiding officer at the hearing.
