RESOLUTION NO. 8 — 1986
A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF
NATURAL RESOURCES TO INCLUDE MOORE LAKE IN THEIR 1986 LAKE
RESTOCKING PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the City of Fridley has made a commitment along with the
Environmental Protection Agency, Minnesota Pollution Control Agency, and the
Minnesota Department of Natural Resources to restore Moore Lake through storm
water diversion and treatment projects ana through improvements directly in
Moore Lake; and
WHEREAS, all of the restoration projects will be completed by the spring of
1986 which will improve the quality of the water, shoreline and lake bottan in
Moore Lake, and
WHEREAS, the Department of Natural Resources has a program for treating and
restocking Minnesota's lakes with game fish.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council hereby requests that the
Minnesota Department of Natural Resources include PIoore Lake in their 1986
Lake Restocking Program and that all expenses relating to this program shall
be paid try the Department of Natural Resources except the possible cleanup and
disposal of eliminated fish which will be the City's responsibility.
