A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF
TRANSPCI=ION TO AUTHORIZE A PUBLIC RAILROAD CROSSING AND
ORDER INSTALLATION OF APPROPRIATE WARNING SIGNALS
WHEREAS, the new segment of Ashton Avenue from 52nd Way to Industrial
Boulevard is intersected by the Burlington Northern Railroad tracks; and
WHEREAS, the City of Fridley herety requests that the railroad crossing be
authorized as a public crossing; and
WHEREAS, the Burlington Northern Railroad Company agrees that this crossing
should be designated as a public crossing.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Fridley
that:
1. The Minnesota Department of Transportation authorize the
Burlington Northern Railroad Company crossing of Ashton Avenue
as a public crossing.
2. The Minnesota Department of Transportation determine the
1 appropriate devices required for this crossing and coordinate
their installation with the Burlington Northern Railroad
Company.
