RESOLUTION ORDERING IMPROVEMENT, APPROVAL OF PLANS, AND
ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS: STREET IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
ST. 1986 — 3
WHEREAS, the construction of the University Avenue West Service Drive from
81st Avenue to 83rd Avenue is necessary to service the new Vantage Company
development; and
WHEREAS, the Vantage Company has executed an agreement for this improvement
and certain payments; and
WHEREAS, the Minnesota Department of Transportation has written a_ cooperative
agreement providing for funding a portion of the costs for construction of
this project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESCLVED by the City Council of the City of Fridley,
Anoka County, Minnesota as follows:
1. That the following improvements, including grading, stabilized
base, hot mix bituminous mat, concrete curb and gutter, sidewalks,
water and sanitary sewer services, storm sewer system, and other
facilities located as follows:

2. The plans and specifications prepared by the Public Works
Director for such improvements are hereby approved and shall be
filed with the City Clerk.
The Public Works Director shall accordingly prepare and cause to be inserted
in the official newspaper advertisements or bids upon the making of such
improvements under such approved plans and specifications. The advertisement
shall be published for three (3) weeks (at least 21 days) , and shall specify
the work to be done and will state that bids will be opened and considered at
11:00 a.m. on the 15th day of July 1986 in the Council Chambers of the City
Hall, and that no bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the
Public Works Director, and accompanied by a cash deposit, bid bond, or
certified check payable to the City for five percent (5%) of the amount of
such bid.
