IRESOLUTION NO. 66 - 1986
RESOLUTION OF SUPPORT FOR ANOKA COUNTY MEDIATION PROJECT
WHEREAS, the concept of volunteer mediation is meeting an increasing number of
conflict resolution needs among neighbors, landlords and tenants, businesses
and consumers, plus citizens and agencies; and
WHEREAS, the Anoka County Mediation Project proposes to offer mediation
services at no cost to those involved in conflict; and
WHEREAS, a recent survey indicated a desire among Anoka County municipalities
to use the services of a county mediation project for some conflicts now being
handled by police departments, city attorneys, public works and planning
departments.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Fridley that
the Mayor and the City Manager supports the concept of an Anoka County
Mediation Project and would support its staff's use of these services when
appropriate.
