RESOLUTION NO. 89 - 1986
RESOLUTION EMPOWERING STAFF TO ARRANGE PUBLICATION OF A
PUBLIC HEARING PRIOR TO CITY COUNCIL'S SETTING OF SAID
HEARING
WHEREAS, the Community Development staff is responsible for arranging
publication of public hearing notices; and
WHEREAS, City Council sets a date for a public hearing; and
WHEREAS, City policy requires publication of public hearing notices in the
local newspaper on the two Mondays preceding the public hearing; and
WHEREAS, waiting for City Council to set a- public hearing prior to staff's
arranging publication of public hearing notices results in a two week, or
greater, delay for a hearing.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Fridley
hereby empowers staff to arrange publication of a public hearing notice prior
to City Council's setting of said hearing.
