ROLL C'ALL : N�IBERS E'RESEN'I': Mayor Nee, Councilman Biliings, Councilrnan Schneider, Councilwan�si Jorgenson and Councilman Fitz�trick ME,MBERS ABSENT: None Mayor Nee stated that the purpose of this meeting is to discuss the recar¢rended candidates and select the desirec� candidates for an inten iew for the position crf Fndley City NL�nager. NEV�T BUSINESS: DISCUSSION OF THE REWDMg',NDATION OF CANDIDATES FOR THE POSITION OF CITY MI�NAGER Councilman Billings questioned the absence of any ianale candiclates and if that meant no fenale candzdates were qualified ar zpplied. Mr. Paul A. P�atmie, The Par Group, stated that they did not have ariy fenzle or minority candidates apply. Councilman &�illings questioned if Mr. Reatune � actively recnuted wanen and minorty applicants. Mr. Reaume answered in the affirmative. Mr. Reatune indicated that �ust tuzder 60 �pplicancs applied for the position and he has prov�ded a list of the top 12 recommended cancv dates. � Mr. Reaiune pravided the Council with the background pertzining to e�ch of the 12 candidates. MYPION by Mayor Nee to select candiclates number l, James F. Andre; 3, William W. Burns; 5, Steven P. Noffner; 7, Richard E. 0'Neil; 8, Patrick J. Reilly; and 10, Tersy L. Sharp to appear before the City Council for an intexviaa on August 19, 1988. Seconded by Councilman Schneider. Upon a voice vote, all voting aye, Mayor Nee declared the motion carried unanunously. •� • i i MOTION by Councilman Billings to adjourn the meeting. Seconded by Councilman Fitzpatrick.
