RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING APPROVAL OF AN AMENDMENT TO THE
LEASE AGREEMENT FOR THE S.O.R.T. RECYCLING CENTER
WHEREAS, Universal Can, Inc. transferred all rights, titles and interest of
the lease agreement to Minnesota Soft Drink Recycle (MSD Recycle) on November
1, 1987; and
WHEREAS, the City released Universal Can, Inc. from any and all further
liability after October 31, 1987; and
WHEREAS, the City Council approved the assumption of all terms, covenants and
conditions of the lease agreement by Minnesota Soft Drink Recycle from
Universal Can, Inc; and
WHEREAS, portions of the former lease agreement are obsolete and should be
amended; and
WHEREAS, the amended lease agreement includes expanded services; and
WHEREAS, MSD Recycle approves the amended provisions to the lease agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Fridley that
the Mayor and the City Manager are authorized to sign the amendment to the
lease agreement for the S.O.R.T. Recycling Center.
