RES 1988-41 - 00004396!71 RESOLUTION NO. 41 - 1988 RESOLUTION REQUESTING A TRAFFIC STUDY AT THE INTERSECTION OF CSAH #35 AND MSAS #303 WHEREAS, a neighborhood meeting was conducted on May 9, 1988; and WHEREAS, the traffic intersection safety problems at CSAH 35 (Central Avenue) and MSAS 303 (Gardena Avenue) were raised by the citizens; and WHEREAS, the school bus movements at the intersection adversely impact the turning movements of cars; and WHEREAS, CSAH 35 does not have any traffic controls between Rice Creek Road and Highway 65 resulting in speeding vehicles; and WHEREAS, vehicles desiring access to CSAH 35 off of MSAS 303 find it extremely difficult to accomplish turning movements. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Fridley that the Anoka County Highway Department study the traffic movements at the intersection of CSAH #35 and MSAS #303 and review the need to install signalization or a 3 -way stop sign in this location; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Anoka County Highway Department inform the City of the results of its study and any proposed action.
