RESOLUTION APPROVING AN AGREEMENT WITH THE MINNESOTA
DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FOR INSTALLATION OF RED BRICK
MEDIAN PAVING ON EAST RIVER ROAD NEAR THE INTERSECTION OF
I -694
WHEREAS, the City of Fridley has established certain standards for the
improvement of center islands and medians on our streets, and these
improvements include red brick pavers; and
WHEREAS, the Minnesota Department of Transportation is proposing to improve
the intersection of East River Road and I -694 and these improvements will
include construction on the center islands and medians; and
WHEREAS, the Minnesota Department of Transportation has agreed to install red
brick median paving according to the City of Fridley design standards.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Fridley
enter into Agreement No. 64974 with the State of Minnesota, Department of
Transportation for the following purposes, to -wit:
to provide for payment by the City to the State of the City's share
' of the costs of the special median walk construction to be performed
upon the East River Road median near the intersection of Trunk
Highway No. 694 from Engineer Station 162 +00 to Engineer Station
184 +12 within the corporate city limits under State Project No.
0285 -51 T.H. (694 =393).
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the proper City Officers are hereby authorized and
directed to execute such agreement.
