RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF
TRANSPORTATION PARTICIPATION IN THE T.H. 47 CORRIDOR
IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
WHEREAS, the Fridley HRA has decided to upgrade the T.H. 47 Corridor in the
City with highway lighting, intersection improvements, pedestrian crossings,
bus stops, and landscaping; and
WHEREAS, the City is the agent for the HRA; and
WHEREAS, the upgrade includes signalization changes and pedestrian signal
controls; and
WHEREAS, these upgrade improvements are within the Department of
Transportation right -of -way; and
WHEREAS, the proposed upgrade improvements will be constructed in phases; and
WHEREAS, Phase I of the improvement is scheduled for commencement in the
spring of 1989.
' NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Fridley that
the Minnesota Department of Transportation participate in the funding for the
signal improvements on T.H. 47 within the corridor upgrade program.
