RES 1988-82 - 00004482' RESOLUTION NO. 82 - 1988 RESOLUTION COMMENDING NASIM M. QURESHI FOR HIS SERVICES TO THE CITY OF FRIDLEY WHEREAS, the City Manager, Nasim M. Qureshi, has announced his intention to retire after more than twenty -five years of dedicated service to the City of Fridley in the positions of City Engineer, Director of Public Works, Director of Planning and Community Development, and for the last fifteen years, City Manager; and WHEREAS, during his long and illustrious career Mr. Qureshi's performance has been recognized by numerous awards from governmental agencies and professional associations including a certificate of achievement, a plaque, a proclamation, and a resolution of commendation from the Fridley City Council; and WHEREAS, it is difficult to summarize the varied innovative contributions, the ongoing sound management, and the long -term positive influence of Mr. Qureshi upon our City Government and the community at large; and NASIM M. QURESHI be commended once again for his devoted service to the People of Fridley. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this commendation along with other recognition and commendation by the Fridley City Council be transmitted to the Fridley Historical Society along with other appropriate records and documents so that an enduring record of his accomplishments will be maintained for posterity.
