W MAS, the Fridley Fire Department has determined that certain signalized
intersections in Fridley should be equipment with EVP; and
WHEREAS, the EVP installations should be in the interest of the safety and the
general welfare of motorists and pedestrians; and
WHEREAS, the City has previously entered into an agreement for similar
installations at various intersections along State Trunk Highway No. 65; and
WHEREAS, MnDOT has prepared an agreement, No. 65207, authorizing installation
of the EVP system on State Trunk Highway 47 (University Avenue) at 49th Avenue,
N.E., 53rd Avenue, N.E., and at Interstate Highway No. 694 north and south ramps
in Fridley, Anoka County, Minnesota.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Fridley
hereby authorizes the appropriate City officers to execute said Agreement No.
65207 between MnDOT and the City of Fridley.
