VM AS, the City has received a Gambling License Application from the Children's
Heart Fund, and
WHEREAS, the Children's Heart Fund has requested the City waive the 60 day
waiting period, and
WHEREAS, the Children's Heart Fund has hired a CPA as a gambling manager who is
earning $3,000 per month for his services, and
WHEREAS, the Section 30.03.10 of the City Code states "gambling manager's
compensation shall not exceed $50.00 per week," and
WHEREAS, the Children's Heart Fund is in violation of the City Code.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE TT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Fridley
denies the request to waive the 60 day waiting period.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, the City Council of the City of Fridley denies the
request for the issuance of a Gambling License to the Children's Heart Fund.
