RES 1990-86 - 00003996210 vr_• r •.• var •n � w r a- • • n:r • • : i •r r: u: WHEREAS, the City of Fridley acquired title to lots 1, 2 and 3, Block 1, Central View Manor, Anoka County, Minnesota, by State Deeds conveying tax forfeited property; and WHEREAS, the conveyance of this property from the State of Minnesota to the City of Fridley was made under provisions of Minnesota Statute §282.01 and §282.12; and WHEREAS, the City of Fridley has used a portion of the above described property for the purposes enumerated in the Application made to the County of Anoka and State of Minnesota at the time that the property was transferred to the City; and WHEREAS, the following described properties are no longer needed for that purpose: All of Lot 3 and that part of Lots 1 and 2, Block 1, Central View Manor lying northeasterly of the following described line: Beginning at a point on the east line of Lot 2 distance 59.50 feet north of the southeast corner of said Lot 2; thence northwesterly to a point on the west line of said Lot 2, said point being 67.56 feet south of the northwest corner of said Lot 2; thence northwesterly to a point on the north line of Lot 1, said last point being 19.00 feet west of the northeast corner of said Lot 1 and there terminating. Generally located at 73 1/2 Avenue and T.H. #65, Anoka County, Minnesota. WHEREAS, Minnesota Statute §282.01 provides that if the governing body of such governmental subdivision by resolution determines that some other public use shall be made of such lands, and such change of use is approved by the county board and an application for such change of use is made to, and approved by the conumissioner of revenue then the land may be used for the newly designated purpose 1. That the City Council determines that the appropriate use for the above described property would be to transfer the property to the Fridley Housing and Redevelopment Authority for the purpose of assisting in and improving the redevelopment of TIF District 9. 2. That the Mayor and City Manager are authorized to transmit a copy of this Resolution along with a letter requesting the Anoka County Board to approve the change in use of the subject property and upon approval to forward an application for such change of use to the Commissioner of Revenue as provided in Minnesota Statute §282.01.
