' A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF REAL ESTATE
WHEREAS, Garry G. Pierce and Karen Pierce, husband and wife,
residing in Bismarck, North Dakota, are the owners of Lot 5,
Auditor's Subdivision No. 88, located in the City of Fridley, Anoka
County, Minnesota; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has on previous occasion expressed an
intention to acquire this and other adjacent property for the
purpose of expanding the City park system; and
WHEREAS, the owners of said property have expressed a willingness
to sell the above described property to the City for the sum of
$38,000.00; and
WHEREAS, the City believes that said price fairly reflects the
market value of the subject real estate;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City
of Fridley hereby approves the purchase of Lot 5, Auditor's
Subdivision No. 88, for the sum of $38,000.00 and authorizes the
Mayor and the City Manager to sign an appropriate Purchase
Agreement effectuating said purchase.
