RES 1991-63 - 00003719192 RESOLUTION A RESOLUTION ORDERING IMPROVEMENT, APPROVAL OF PLANS AM ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT MR BIDS: SPRINGBROOK NATURE CENTER LANDSCAPING PROJECT 1991 WHEREAS, A tornado in 1986 destroyed most of the trees and shrubs in the entrance area of Springbrook Nature Center, and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Fridley has allocated funds to restore tornado damaged areas within Springbrook Nature Center and to landscape the entrance area, NOW, THEREEMM, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Fridley, Anoka County, Minnesota, as follows: 1. That the Springbrook Nature Center entrance area recommended for landscaping by the Naturalist, Resource Coordinator be landscaped, and the work involved in said improvement shall hereafter be designed as: SFRINGBROOK NATURE CENTER LANDSCAPING PROTECT 1991 2. The plans and specifications prepared for Springbrook Nature Center for such improvement and each of them, pursuant to the Council action heretofore, are hereby approved and shall be filed with the ' City Clerk. 3. The work to be performed under SPRINGBROOK NATURE CENTER LANDSCAPING PROTECT 1991 be performed under one contract. The Naturalist /Resource Coordinator shall accordingly prepare and cause to be inserted in the official newspaper advertisement for bids upon the making of such iTrprovements under such approved plans and specifications. The advertisement shall be published for two (2) weeks (at least 10 days), and shall specify the work to be done and will state that bids will be opened at 11:00 A.M. on August 29 1991, in the City Hall, and that no bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the Naturalist/Resource Coordinator and accompanied by a cash deposit, bid bond, or certified check payable to the City of Fridley for five percent (5 %) of the amount of such bid. That the advertisement for bids for SPRIIMROOK NATURE CENTER LANDSCAPING pROJEcr 1991 shall be substantially standard in form.
